It is here...

How come it takes me so long to post? Time is going way to fast. Look what I got in the mail this week-end....it finally came:) I can now officially be a part of The Great Pumpkin Quilt-Along. The first thing I will do is check to make sure I have all the blocks. I have tomorrow off and I have done all my homework for the week. I have been very good about studying so I am going to pull fabric and maybe get a block put together so I will have some handwork to keep with me.

Now next question for anyone that is doing the Stitchers' Angel what would you suggest so I could be an awesome angel. I would love to hear any tips you might have since I have never done anything like that and it will also prepare me for the secret santa... Thanks ahead of time for your tips and have a great week-end and watch for my post with my block....:)

It's a bit daunting doing a swap for the first time! I understand!! I agree with Chookyblue - if you've made your gift with love - that really is all that matters. BUT, to give you a more tangible idea - I'm going to make maybe three of the projects designed for the swap and then I thought that I'd add maybe an aussie mag, maybe some cool buttons, a card, and a chocolate (if I'm allowed to post it internationally!). Hope this helps. :)

I only post about once a week too - on weekends usually. I am too tired during the week when I am working. I don't want it to become a chore that I dread.
This is my first swap too, and I think that if you can just stick some surprises in with your main gift then you will be a fantastic angel! Everyone loves surprises! Also, if they have kids, maybe include something for them too. Just a little something - you don't have to spend a fortune. I have been collecting little things for a couple of months now in anticipation of this swap so I have a stash of goodies to choose from.

This is my first swap also! ("Stitchers' Angel") I'm going to send a little something to the person ahead of time. Just to let them know I'm thinking about them.

This is my first swap (Stitchers Angel) and I have signed up for Chookyblue's SSCS. Its so exciting isn't it. I am sticking to patterns I love and find it easier to do things I would like for myself. It doesn't really matter as long as you enjoy doing it and have filled it with joy and much thought, everything that arrives in the mail these days is such a surprise--its all email.

First for me too... I've added a secret little pocket to one of the projects where I'll hide a few special weeny little things, a charm, a couple of vintage buttons, some vintage hand made lace etc. I agree with Deb, any parcel arriving in the mail is special, and from someone in another country it's even more lovely!
