about me

I am a mom to 3 boys who are 25, 24, & 23 and 1 daughter who is 22. I have been blessed with 4 beautiful granddaughters ages 4, 3, 1 and 3 months that live in Alaska, and a grandson that is 2 months and another that is due any day. I have been a cosmetologist for the last 10 years in the Midwest. I love working with people and doing hair. I use to joke with my friends and family that I cut hair by day and fabric by night. Eight years ago my husband was killed in a motorcycle accident that changed my life drastically. I have moved closer to my sister in Southern California. She got me a job working in an oil refinery which was night and day different than working as a manager of 12 salons cutting hair and talking to people in my chair everyday vs working out in the field wearing nomax, hardhat, and steel toe boots. I am now back in the office as a buyer in the refinery so it is not so bad. Actually, I am going back to school to finish my nursing. I am starting this fall taking night classes. So summed up in a nutshell this is my story on surviving. I will be journaling my daily life adventures. Take my hand and let’s ride the ride together.
